Spending some time with Firebird

After reading the news about AOL and Microsoft's browser deal and Joel's commentary I thought I'd do my part to restore competition to the browser market and give Mozilla Firebird a try as my default browser.  Andy would be proud.  Initial impressions & problems:Screenshot of toolbar

  • Wow its fast, Tab browsing is pretty sweet.
  • Is there a way to have Firebird remember and re-load the set of tabs I had open when I closed the app?  At the moment if I restart the browser I lose all my tabs.
  • If I'm going to use Firebird as a blogging tool I'll need a rich text editor and a spell checker. (writing this post in IE)
    • I looked at Composite but being a Mozilla novice wasn't sure if it would work with Firebird.
    • Is there an equivalent to ieSpell?  The free spell checker add-on to internet explorer?

Know the answer?  Drop me a line.
