So close, but so far away...

Ray Ozzie of Groove has posted his original 'founding document' that layout the market opportunity he designed groove to address.  I need to read this.

Nagel, Sakoman map Palm's future:
[the smartphone market] wouldn't look like the PC business for three reasons: the carriers like to set the terms; the technology is too complicated for white box builders to throw components into a box and hope they work - as integration is an issue; and there's scope for terrific differentiation between devices, which are already fashion accessories, and the Dell model doesn't work in such a market.

Wireless Power

Put things on the pad to charge. No wires.

Another TabletPC Blog.  They have a detailed table comparing the hardware specs of most of the announced Tablets.

I've decided not to run out and sell my Thinkpad when the Tablets start shipping.  I'm current a 1 computer guy and I can't afford for my laptop to flake out.  Until IBM or Dell start making one I'm not buying.  That doesn't mean I won't accept them as gifts.
